Sam Griffin

I am a freelance web and mobile app developer based in both Brighton and Glasgow with a passion for web development and artificial intelligence. I am proficient in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript and CSS as well as a wide range of other technologies. I have been developing for several years now and have experience at working for small projects for individuals as well as larger projects for organisations. Over the past several years I have been working for a couple of companies both part-time and full-time.

From November 2014 to August 2017 I was a software engineer for BrightMinded where we specialised in bespoke websites for a wide variety of clients. I was often involved in different stages of the development process, and sometimes I was even given the opportunity to develop the entire project myself. While working here, I had an excellent time working with some outstanding team members and interesting technologies including machine learning algorithms, neural networks, self-building CRMs and much more.

Outside of development I enjoy climbing, running, cycling, sailing, kayaking and powerboating. I volunteered at the Nautical Training Corps for a number of years, looking after the young children and teaching them sailing and important life skills.
